Volunteer in a soup kitchen • Hang out with teens with special needs for 1.5 hours • Coordinate a clothing drive for needy families • Visit an old age home • Bake Challah for needy families.

There will be two events per month, one Sunday Social, hanging out with special needs teens, the second one will be unique each month. Committee member will commit to one event a month, and can gladly do all as well.

Our Mission Statement:

Ten Yad is an organization which gives students the chance to do a variety of community service programs throughout the year, and help the Jewish community of Boston where help is needed.


Things to expect of the organization:

  • Twice monthly volunteering opportunities

  • A sense of community between the committee members

  • Opportunity to pitch your own ideas and initiatives

  • Having a good time while doing Mitzvot for others!

At The Jewish Student Center of Boston we are a family which enjoys our heritage in many ways. There are many different opportunities to volunteer, from hosting a Torah class to helping with Shabbat dinner, from office work to Friendship Circle for special needs children.
